One Valley Community Foundation Hosts 8th Annual Give Big May 5-6

The largest single giving day in Montana to raise critical funds for nonprofits in Gallatin County

Gallatin County, MT- From 6 pm on Thursday, May 5th, through 6 pm on Friday, May 6th, the One Valley Community Foundation will host its 8th annual Give Big Gallatin Valley event. This is the annual community-wide fundraiser and celebration of giving for all Gallatin County nonprofits. Over the past seven years, the impact of Give Big has continued to grow, reaching over $8.5 million raised for more than 200 nonprofits located in or serving Gallatin County. Last year alone, nearly $2.7 million was raised by 6,279 donors. As a result, Give Big has become the largest single-day giving event in Montana.

Give Big Gallatin Valley, powered by One Valley Community Foundation and sponsored by Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, is a 24-hour event that brings together the community to support the nonprofits doing crucial work. During the event, supporters can visit www.GiveBigGV.org to find the causes they care about and Give Big from one convenient website.

With 230 organizations participating in this year’s event, One Valley’s goal is to make Give Big 2022 the largest yet! With nonprofits from 7 municipalities across the county whose missions range from arts and community advocacy to education and environmental needs, there is something for everyone to support. Give Big provides an opportunity to give back to the organizations that make Gallatin Valley a strong and vibrant community.

“Each year, we are humbled by the extraordinary generosity of neighbors throughout Gallatin County during Give Big,” said Bridget Wilkinson, Executive Director of One

Valley Community Foundation. “Every gift matters to our nonprofit organization partners who are working tirelessly to support the needs of our growing region.”

Giving goes further during Give Big thanks to the generous support of local businesses who have donated funds and services that allow us to offer $20,000 worth of prizes to be awarded to nonprofits throughout the event. To find a list of prizes and learn how you can help your favorite nonprofits win, visit givebiggv.org/prizes.

After two years of virtual celebrations during COVID-19, participating nonprofits are excited to have the opportunity to connect with the community in person this year. During the event, organizations will be hosting various events to connect with donors and share the excitement of Give Big. We encourage community members to visit givebiggv.org/info/events to see a full schedule of events throughout the day.
