One Valley Community Foundation Hosts 8th Annual Give Big on May 5th and 6th

Gallatin County nonprofit registration deadline to participate is March 15th

Gallatin County, MT- On May 5th and 6th from 6:00pm to 6:00pm, One Valley Community Foundation will host the 8th annual Give Big Gallatin Valley initiative. Give Big is a 24-hour celebration that raises critical funds for nonprofits located in or serving Gallatin County. The initiative is designed to connect donors to the nonprofits they care most about to raise unrestricted funding to support their work. Over the past eight years, our community has come together to raise over $8.5 million through more than 55,000 gifts for over 210 local nonprofits during Give Big. Last year alone, 6,269 generous donors raised nearly $2.7 million for 210 nonprofits.

Nonprofits located in or serving Gallatin Valley who want to participate in Give Big 2022 should register at www.GiveBigGV.org between now and March 15th. To help nonprofits be successful during Give Big, One Valley Community Foundation will host a series of free educational webinars leading up to the event. These webinars are intended to support participating nonprofits by providing important tools that nonprofits can use beyond Give Big to support their organizations.

“We’re encouraging all nonprofit organizations in Gallatin County to join us for this year’s Give Big initiative! It’s a great way for your organization to connect with new and existing donors to raise critical funding for your work and to gain exposure for your nonprofit,” said Bridget Wilkinson, President and CEO of the One Valley Community Foundation.

Additionally, One Valley Community Foundation is working to make this event more inclusive, equitable and representative of the whole county. Based on feedback from the community and past participating nonprofits, the Give Big team at One Valley has chosen to center equity through this year’s planning process. All participating organizations will be eligible for new prizes by sharing how they incorporate equity into their organization. Additionally, One Valley is offering registration fee discounts to organizations who have faced barriers for Give Big participation in the past and who are actively working to overcome inequities in our community.

With the challenges presented over the last two years, many nonprofits have had to pivot programs and learn to fulfill their missions in new ways. Because of this, nonprofits need ongoing support from the community. To help us reach our goal and provide these organizations with much-needed support, we are teaming up with Yellowstone Club Community Foundation to encourage our community to give big on May 5th & 6th.
