One Valley Community Foundation Announces a Call for Proposals to New Gallatin County Nonprofit Vitality Fund

Grant cycle is open from April 29th to May 25th.

Gallatin County, MT - One Valley Community Foundation announces a call for proposals for their new Gallatin County Nonprofit Vitality Fund that will open on April 29th. This fund was created from a redistribution of $500,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from the Gallatin County Commission in January of 2022.

The Gallatin County Commission voted on January 25th to provide $500,000 of the Gallatin County’s American Rescue Plan Act funds to One Valley Community Foundation to grant to nonprofit organizations throughout Gallatin County who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

These funds will provide grants to nonprofit organizations in support of their ongoing resiliency and efficacy as employers and providers of economic and social services in Gallatin County. Eligible organizations are verified 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) charitable nonprofits in Gallatin County.

“We are honored to co-create this grantmaking opportunity alongside the Gallatin County Commissioners to continue reviving and sustaining our local nonprofit organizations who have suffered economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Bridget Wilkinson, President and CEO of One Valley Community Foundation.

To leverage these ARPA funds, One Valley Community Foundation is partnering with the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation who will match grant awards to nonprofits in Big Sky or to those nonprofits primarily serving Big Sky.

“The Yellowstone Club Community Foundation is proud to match, dollar for dollar, funding to Big Sky nonprofits that qualify for One Valley’s Nonprofit Vitality Grants. In partnering with One Valley, we hope to scale the impact these funds have on the vitality of our local nonprofit partners,” said Ruthi Solari, Yellowstone Club Community Foundation’s Director of Community Partnerships.

Eligible applications will be evaluated by a diverse committee of Gallatin County community members. Final funding award decisions will be made by the Gallatin County Commission. Grant guidelines and application are available at www.onevalley.org/nonprofitvitality. Additional information about timelines, process and frequently asked questions are listed on this website. The call for proposals for the Gallatin County Nonprofit Vitality Grant is open from April 29, 2022 to May 25, 2022. Additional questions regarding this grant cycle can be directed to Tanya Andreasen, Community Engagement Manager, via email at tanya@onevalley.org.

“We are deeply grateful for the commissioners’ vision to bolster our critical nonprofit sector throughout Gallatin County with this funding,” said Wilkinson. “We believe that these resources will have a big impact on organizations large and small.”
