Update // Phase Two - Southwest Montana COVID-19 Response Fund

ince March, the One Valley Community Foundation and the Greater Gallatin United Way have co-hosted the Southwest Montana COVID-19 Response Fund to provide flexible resources to organizations working with individuals and populations disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the health and economic consequences of this outbreak. Our phase one funding focused on five primary areas of need: food and supply distribution, emergency housing, emergency financial assistance, health and wellbeing, and programs and supplies needed to support crisis response. With the generosity of more than 370 donors, our organizations raised $514,741 for the Response Fund which we received mostly within the first 8 weeks.

Reflections on Anti-Racism

As our nation continues to grapple with pain and uncertainty, we believe some essential truths remain for the Gallatin Valley: Our community is only strong when every voice is heard. Our community is only safe when every resident can dream fearlessly. Our community is only strong and vibrant when every family, neighbor, and friend is respected. While we are grieving alongside our community, we also watched with pride last Friday as so many of our friends, colleagues and neighbors gathered peacefully in solidarity with those fighting for equality and justice.
