Federal funding has long been a key source of support for Gallatin County’s nonprofits—but that support is becoming increasingly uncertain. As funding delays, cuts, and cancellations continue, many local organizations are struggling to plan ahead, retain staff, and meet growing community needs.

To understand the scope of the issue, One Valley Community Foundation surveyed nonprofits across the region—asking a critical question: How much do we rely on federal funding, and what happens if it’s no longer there?
