Growth. Gratitude. Generosity. One Valley Launches Year-End Appeal.

December 10th, 2021

For nearly 25 years, the One Valley Community Foundation has believed deeply in the power of all people to make a difference in our communities. Known for many of those years as the Bozeman Area Community Foundation, the organization has connected people with the causes that matter most to them and helped to strengthen nonprofit organizations whose mission-driven work has never been more important. Today, One Valley serves one of the fastest growing regions in the nation. On December first, it launched a special annual fundraising appeal: Growth. Gratitude. Generosity.

“With the region’s growth comes a sense of abundance, but it also brings new challenges and new opportunities for leadership, innovation and impact,” said Bridget Wilkinson, One Valley President and CEO. “The choice of our new name has been purposeful: in the face of this change, we know One Valley can be a force for good, bringing people together around a shared vision that will shape what this remarkable region represents for decades to come.”

During this annual season of gratitude and giving, One Valley’s board of directors has been reflecting on the how past generosity has allowed the organization to grow. With profound gratitude to all of those who have supported the One Valley in the past, the organization is encouraging donors to make gifts prior to December 31, 2021 to help chart a course for an even bolder, brighter and more connected future:

  • Together, One Valley and donors can strengthen our communities’ nonprofit sector by providing exceptional training and leadership development programs that help essential organizations better deliver on their inspiring missions. Building on its success and reputation for excellence, the organization can expand what’s working well, bring innovative approaches to what will be needed next and establish creative partnerships that will allow One Valley Community Foundation to lift the nonprofit sector to new heights.

  • Together, One Valley and its supporters can multiply the impact of grassroots philanthropy for the benefit of a growing number of local organizations. Each year, thanks to donor generosity, giving programs like Give Big Gallatin Valley, 100 Strong and Women Who Wine inspire thousands of donors to make contributions – large and small – to the causes that inspire them.

  • Together, One Valley and investors can bring communities together around their most pressing challenges. With local support, One Valley will continue convening critical conversations, engaging diverse stakeholders in innovative ways and working to bring real solutions to complex challenges. Today, the focus is on thoughtfully addressing accessible and affordable housing, knowing that the rapidly increasing local cost-of-living is having an impact on the social, emotional and economic fabric of the entire region.

  • Together, One Valley and donors can establish targeted funds to support organizations that have become an essential part of the remarkable character of the region. Today, One Valley Community Foundation thoughtfully stewards $46 million in community resources that annually benefit nearly 200 local organizations. Working closely with fund holders, the organization will bring our community closer together and shape the future they know the next generation deserves.

One Valley Community Foundation is proud of the successes they’ve realized, but they know that more can and should be done to foster philanthropy, bolster connectivity in the midst of change and enable leadership and innovation across our region.
