GIVE BIG GALLATIN VALLEY 2026 TO BE FEE-FREE, ENSURING 100% OF DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO LOCAL NONPROFITS
Bozeman, MT — One Valley Community Foundation announced that Give Big Gallatin Valley 2026 will be completely fee-free, meaning 100% of every donation made during the 24-hour giving initiative will go directly to participating nonprofits.
This milestone is made possible by a generous investment from the Jill and Nicholas Woodman Foundation at One Valley Community Foundation, which is covering all transaction and platform fees.
Give Big Gallatin Valley takes place from 6 pm April 30 through 6 pm May 1, bringing together 266 nonprofits across Gallatin County on one easy-to-use online platform. The initiative has become a community tradition, raising $2.9 million in 2025 and more than $20.4 million for local nonprofits since 2015.
In previous years, online giving fees were either deducted from donations or optionally covered by donors, totaling more than $100,000 in 2025 alone. By removing fees entirely in 2026, Give Big ensures every dollar given goes exactly where donors intend, without any extra steps or decisions.
“Give Big has become a meaningful tradition for our community,” said Bridget Wilkinson, President & CEO of One Valley Community Foundation. “Making this year fee-free means donors can give with confidence, knowing their full gift is going directly to the nonprofits they care about.”
A total of 266 nonprofits are participating this year, with a goal of engaging more than 6,000 donors across Gallatin County.
While most online giving platforms include processing fees, Give Big 2026 offers a rare opportunity for donors to give knowing their entire gift will support local work, from the first dollar to the last.
“As longtime supporters of Give Big, we’ve seen how powerful it is when the entire community shows up at once,” said Jill and Nicholas Woodman. “Covering the fees was our way of making that generosity go even further. We want every dollar given during Give Big to land fully in the hands of the nonprofits doing the work.”
For nonprofits, removing fees helps simplify the giving experience at a critical moment.
“Even small fees can cause hesitation, especially when donors are supporting multiple organizations,” shared one participating nonprofit. “When that barrier is removed, it becomes easier for people to follow through, and that makes a real difference for organizations like ours.”
Give Big Gallatin Valley also allows donors to support multiple nonprofits in one place, while helping organizations unlock matching funds and incentive prizes that can further increase the impact of each gift.
Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars and find a cause to support from 6 pm April 30 through 6 pm May 1.
