Nonprofit Cafe // Building the Board You Need: Aligning Governance with Organizational Growth - Virtual

DESCRIPTION:

As nonprofits evolve, so do the expectations and roles of their boards. This session explores the three primary types of nonprofit boards: operational, managerial, and strategic. It also introduces the nonprofit lifecycle as a framework for understanding how board responsibilities should shift as an organization matures.

Participants will learn how to assess their organization’s current stage of development and identify the type of board structure, engagement, and leadership that best supports where they are and where they want to go. Whether launching a new organization, managing growing pains, or seeking to become more strategic, this session offers tools and guidance to help you build the board your organization truly needs.

WHO SHOULD JOIN:

This Nonprofit Cafe session is ideal for any nonprofit staff member who works closely with a Board of Directors. Board members are also encouraged to attend.
