One Valley Community Foundation Announces 2026–27 Nonprofit Cafe Series
Free monthly workshop series for nonprofit professionals returns for another year, sponsored by Yellowstone Club Community Foundation (YCCF)
Gallatin County, MT — August 25, 2026 — One Valley Community Foundation has announced its 2026–27 Nonprofit Cafe series, a free monthly workshop series designed to strengthen the skills and capacity of nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers across Gallatin County. The series will kick off this Friday, August 28 and run through May 2027 and is sponsored by Yellowstone Club Community Foundation (YCCF).
Each 90-minute session brings local nonprofit professionals together to explore a different topic in nonprofit management, from fundraising and storytelling to strategic planning and board engagement. This year's lineup features a full slate of practical, expert-led conversations that address the real challenges nonprofit leaders face, covering donor engagement, ethical storytelling, AI adoption, major gifts, and program evaluation. The announcement comes as more nonprofits report leaning on the series to help fill a widening gap in professional development. In One Valley’s most recent nonprofit needs survey, the share of respondents who said the foundation’s programming is a significant part of their professional development jumped from 8% in 2025 to 36% in 2026, while those naming One Valley as an important resource for local nonprofits rose from 50% to 71%.
The shift aligns with nonprofits pulling back on their training budgets. Asked about their professional development budgets in the same survey, respondents pointed again and again to the loss of federal funding:
