Partnership, Passion, and Purpose | Michael & Andrea Manship

Nestled in the heart of Montana's Gallatin County, a remarkable story of philanthropy has unfolded. It's a story that started with a simple question: "How did you first hear about One Valley Community Foundation?"

Andrea and Mike Manship, two remarkable individuals driven by a deep commitment to making a difference, embarked on a journey that would change the landscape of philanthropy in our community. Their story is a testament to the power of partnership, passion, and purpose.

When asked how they first heard about One Valley Community Foundation, Andrea and Mike recount the advice of friends and colleagues in Bozeman and across the country. They spoke of One Valley with reverence, and as the couple delved deeper into their mission, they found a kindred spirit in their philanthropic pursuits.

It was the foundation’s leadership. We were captivated by the capacity, intelligence, strategic thinking, and thoughtfulness of the One Valley team.
— Andrea Manship | One Valley Donor Advised Fund Holder

Their journey of giving was fueled by the belief in a healthy nonprofit sector and the understanding of the pivotal role a strong community foundation plays in supporting a thriving nonprofit sector. Andrea and Mike witnessed the positive impact of their contributions in countless ways across Gallatin County. As their giving journey evolved, their interests grew diverse, but a common thread remained – the desire to empower good leaders to strengthen their services and impact the community. This support extended to various causes, from mental health services to the arts, environmental initiatives to education.

One Valley did not just facilitate their giving; the Community Foundation became an essential partner in their philanthropic journey. With the foundation's support, Andrea and Mike established their donor advised fund (DAF) at One Valley, simplifying their charitable efforts. Bridget Wilkinson, President and CEO, and the dedicated staff provided philanthropic advising, directing them toward groups and projects who aligned with their priorities and values, and often organizations they were not previously aware of. One Valley became a thought-partner, helping them discern the best use of their charitable dollars to maximize their impact.

This is why Andrea and Mike Manship have decided to leverage their philanthropy and match every dollar donated to One Valley Community Foundation until year-end, up to $55,000. "We've enjoyed the experience of watching One Valley grow and witnessing the transformative impact it has had on our community. This campaign match is our invitation to others to share in this joyous "ROI" – return on investment," said Andrea Manship.

Andrea and Mike's enthusiasm for One Valley is infectious. When asked what they would tell others about giving to our organization, they shared stories of their positive experiences and the vital work of the foundation. Their passion and conviction make it nearly impossible not to join in.

And what do they wish everyone knew about our cause? They want everyone to realize that giving to One Valley means multiplying the positive effect of their gifts many times over. It's an investment in a brighter, more vibrant community.

As the year comes to a close, we invite you to join Andrea and Mike Manship in supporting One Valley Community Foundation. Every gift directed towards One Valley before year-end will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $55,000, by these extraordinary donors.

Join us today to make a difference that will radiate for generations to come. Donate to One Valley Community Foundation before year-end and double the impact of your gift. Together, we are One Valley, and together, we can create a brighter future for all.
