Philanthropy in Action

In 2024, our community showed up in a big way. In partnership with our fundholders, we granted nearly $1.5 million to 277 nonprofits. Of those grants, 87% stayed in Gallatin County and 96% remained in Montana, ensuring that charitable dollars directly supported the people and places we care about most.

This giving fuels real change, whether it’s strengthening social services, building community spaces, or advancing the arts. We were honored to be a trusted partner in philanthropy, helping individuals and families give back in ways that were both simple and deeply strategic. Through donor advised funds and other charitable tools, we supported local donors in making meaningful investments that reflect their values and strengthen Gallatin County.

A Decade of Impact: Give Big Turns 10

In 2024, we marked a major milestone: the 10th annual Give Big Gallatin Valley. In just 24 hours, more than 12,000 gifts raised a record-breaking $3.13 million for 272 local nonprofits. Over the past decade, Give Big has raised over $17.6 million for 464 organizations across Gallatin County.

Give Big isn’t just about fundraising—it’s about connection. It’s a day when people of all ages, backgrounds, and giving capacities come together to shape the kind of community we want to live in.

Advancing Local Solutions

Beyond grantmaking, we remained focused on one of Gallatin County’s most urgent challenges: ensuring access to stable, attainable housing. Through the Regional Housing Coalition, we convened 28 organizations, hosted meetings in four communities across the county, and launched working groups focused on long-term affordability, homelessness, and housing communications.

In 2024, the coalition was officially recognized as Gallatin County’s Continuum of Care and helped shape a new regional strategy to address homelessness. This is what makes One Valley unique: we don’t just respond to challenges—we convene, coordinate, and catalyze solutions.

Strengthening the Nonprofit Sector

We also deepened our support for local nonprofits, offering seven Nonprofit Cafe sessions and eleven nonprofit roundtables that equipped leaders with tools, knowledge, and community. These free, high-quality programs helped organizations adapt and thrive during a year marked by rising costs and growing demand.

Looking Ahead

As we step into 2025, our focus is clear:

  • Grow our donor base to expand local impact

  • Support nonprofits with relevant, high-quality programming

  • Build on the momentum of Give Big to strengthen a culture of generosity

  • Advance long-term housing solutions through the Regional Housing Coalition
