Nonprofit Cafe // SMART Strategic Planning - In Person Session

DESCRIPTION:

Making the biggest impact with limited funding and stretched capacity is a challenge most nonprofit leaders juggle. This workshop centers on the SMART framework for strategic planning, helping your team move from scattered effort to delivering meaningful results with confidence and joy.

Attendees will be introduced to the key ingredients of SMART strategic planning and walk through exercises to make their work more effective. By the end of the session, you'll be able to apply the key elements of SMART strategic planning so you can start a process that creates a vibrant, living plan instead of shelf art.

WHO SHOULD JOIN:

This session is ideal for executive directors, program managers, and board members. All Gallatin County nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers are welcome to attend.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Libby galvanizes teams, building joyful communities and a healthy planet. She partners with purpose-driven teams to identify what’s hindering success and guide them in taking the steps needed to thrive. She has over 19 years of experience in the non-profit, government, and academic sectors, with a proven track record of delivering results in organizational development, systems mapping, strategic planning, staff mentorship, fundraising, and program design and implementation.

Libby has facilitated over twenty planning processes and/or policy-development processes, many of which with Tribal natural resources departments or buffalo programs. She built a coalition of Indigenous leaders from 16 Native Nations in the Northern Great Plains, co-raised over $7 million in funding, and coached leaders through transformation into 501(c)3 nonprofit with 6 staff and a grantmaking program. She also mentors early career leaders, having taught conservation, public health, environmental, and recreation classes at the University of Montana and Montana State University. In addition to supporting value-driven teams through Savvy Moose Strategies, she is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Geography Department at MSU.
