DESCRIPTION:
Nonprofit leaders rely on communication not just to deliver services, but to build trust, strengthen relationships, and elevate their organization's visibility. This interactive session blends short teaching segments with hands-on exercises drawn from professional communication coaching and improvisational training.
Participants will explore techniques for collaborative dialogue and confidence-building warmups that improve presence and connection, leaving with immediately usable strategies to communicate with more clarity and confidence with colleagues, clients, donors, partners, and community members.
WHO SHOULD JOIN:
This session is ideal for leaders, program managers, frontline staff, and anyone who regularly communicates with others. All Gallatin County nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers are welcome to attend.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Steven Harris‑Weiel is a communication coach, workshop facilitator, and longtime nonprofit supporter based in Bozeman. Through his company, Stage Confidence, he helps professionals strengthen their presence, clarity, and interpersonal effectiveness in high‑stakes environments. Steven has taught at Montana State University, coached various leaders across Montana, and regularly partners with organizations to improve team communication, confidence, and connection. As a real estate agent, emcee, and former instructor, he brings a unique blend of practical experience, humor, and actionable tools that empower people to communicate with purpose and authenticity.
