DESCRIPTION:  

Right-sized systems don't ask your team to do more. They ask you to build only what you actually need, systems that fit your organization's actual capacity and are simple enough to maintain over time. This session is built for small nonprofits, where best-practice advice isn't always realistic when you don't have the staff or resources to match.

We'll explore how to streamline systems for organizing and managing grants, fundraising strategies, constituent information, file organization, documentation, and other operational processes, without adding unnecessary complexity or relying on expensive software.

By the end of the session, you'll be able to evaluate whether an existing process is appropriately sized for your organization's capacity, identify realistic opportunities to simplify recurring operational and fundraising tasks, and leave with practical improvements and templates to implement immediately.

WHO SHOULD JOIN:  

This session is ideal for executive directors or program leads of small nonprofits. All Gallatin County nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers are welcome to attend.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:  

Rachel Caldwell is the founder of Right Angle Grants, where she helps small nonprofits build practical grant systems that make fundraising more organized, sustainable, and less stressful. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit development, operations, project management, and proposal writing, she has worked with organizations ranging from grassroots nonprofits to national organizations. Rachel specializes in creating simple systems for grant tracking, proposal development, and cross-team coordination so lean organizations can spend less time scrambling and more time advancing their missions.
