Nonprofit Cafe // From Transactional to Transformational: Turning Sponsors into Partners - Virtual

DESCRIPTION:

Chasing down $500 event sponsorships, haggling over logo placement, and rebuilding the same sponsor list every year? It's utterly exhausting, and it's not the best use of your time. If you're stuck in the cycle of transactional sponsorships that fizzle out after the event, it's time for a smarter, more strategic approach. In this session, we'll explore how to evolve those short-term wins into long-term partnerships that bring lasting value to your mission, your supporters, and your community.

You'll learn how to identify the right business partners, craft customized proposals that ask for (and get) more, and build activation plans that go way beyond banner placement. We'll also dig into how to deepen engagement over time, turning business partners into individual donors, advocates, and collaborators who are just as invested in your impact as you are. Whether you're a one-person shop or part of a larger team, you'll walk away with practical tools, bold ideas, and a fresh mindset for your partnership program.

WHO SHOULD JOIN:

This session is ideal for fundraising staff. All Gallatin County nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers are welcome to attend.

She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Montana State University and an MBA from Kansas State University. Bethany is heavily involved as a volunteer across Gallatin Valley, spending time with organizations including the American Marketing Association Montana State University Chapter and the Help Center. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outside (especially on GVLT trails) with her husband Samuel and their two young children.
